Be Part of Something Bigger: Discover Oak Knoll’s Mission and Values

At Oak Knoll School, we believe every individual is uniquely created by God for a purpose. Our mission is to help students uncover that purpose and empower them to make a meaningful, positive impact on the world. Rooted in the teachings of Cornelia Connelly, founder of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, we are dedicated to cultivating each student’s talents and gifts so they can contribute to a better society.

Since our founding in 1924, Oak Knoll has proudly provided an independent Catholic education grounded in the values of the Holy Child Network of Schools. These values, encapsulated in the seven Holy Child Goals, shape every aspect of our educational journey and reflect the transformative power of faith, community, and learning.

The Holy Child Goals: A Foundation of Faith and Purpose

Goal 1 | Faith
We encourage students to develop a joyful and personal relationship with God, equipping them to address the realities of the world with courage and conviction.

Goal 2 | Community
As a dynamic Catholic community, we learn, worship, and grow together, fostering connections that last a lifetime.

Goal 3 | Love of Learning
Our intellectually challenging and innovative curriculum nurtures curiosity, academic excellence, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Goal 4 | Compassion
Living our motto, Actions Not Words, we promote Catholic social teachings through kindness, empathy, and service to others.

Goal 5 | Respect
We create a learning environment built on trust, reverence, and respect for the dignity and uniqueness of every individual.

Goal 6 | Growth
Personal growth is a cornerstone of the Oak Knoll experience, empowering students to reach their full potential academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Goal 7 | Tradition
We honor and continue the mission of the Holy Child philosophy, ensuring its legacy for generations to come.

Living Our Mission Every Day

Oak Knoll is part of a global network that includes nine schools across the United States and 13 more in countries such as England, Ireland, France, Nigeria, and Ghana. Together, we share a unified mission: to inspire students to achieve their fullest potential, transforming their lives through the power of education.

Our students live by faith, learn by doing, and lead by example. This mission is not just words—it’s evident in the way our community embraces challenges, celebrates achievements, and supports one another in both academics and faith.
